What better place to relax with a cup of coffee or tea while reading the day’s newspapers, current magazines, newest best seller, or working on the library’s computers or your own laptop?
You can purchase a tall cup of joe for just $1 and proceeds go to the Friends of the Blue Ridge Library to help with funding of our library events and projects.
We’ve reinvented our children’s space, making it a great educational and fun destination for kids from toddlers up. We have a LEGO table, a train table with Thomas & Friends, puzzles, computers offering educational games in fun formats, and of course, thousands of children’s books!
Introduce your child to learning experiences that will help prepare them for future reading and learning success.
Mondays & Thursdays at 10:30 am
Introduces children to the library as they enjoy stories, songs, and crafts that help build early literacy, creativity, and social skills. Ages 2 and up.
Third Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30 pm
Make new friends while creating LEGO masterpieces. We supply the LEGOs. You may even find your work on display in the library. Ages 6 and up.
Thursdays at 7:30 pm
Each person has inner art ability. Learn to paint and create with a medium of your choice. Registration required. Adults and teens.
Second Tuesdays at 6:30 pm
The Blue Ridge Quilters meet to share ideas and techniques as they share their love of quilting. Bring an unfinished project or get ideas to start something new.
Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45 am
Breathe, stretch, and relax. Build strength and flexibility in muscles and learn skills to reduce stress. Registration required. Adults and teens.
Bring home a jigsaw puzzle and watch as your family connects with each other in this relaxing, yet challenging activity. We have lots of choices from Children’s to 1000 pieces. No return due date so you’ll have time to finish!
