Please return borrowed materials to the outside book drops at any time. After a short quarantine, the next patron will then be able to enjoy them! Returned items will still show on your account for 2 extra business days while they’re in quarantine, but don’t worry – you will not accrue any fines for that period.

Can’t open your trunk? Tell us when you call. We’ll leave your items on a table for you to retrieve.

What sanitization is being done to protect everyone?
In addition to quarantining all materials for longer than the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, our cleaning crews have employed enhanced cleaning measures. There will be no direct contact between staff and patrons. Materials will be either left on a designated table outside the branch for you to pick up while staff remain at a safe distance or, in limited cases, placed in your car trunk.
I just returned some books, but when I got home I saw that they were still listed as checked out on my account. Why is this?
Returned items will take at least two days to be checked in due to the quarantine process. You will not incur any late fees or have your card blocked due to this period.
After I put items on hold, how long will it take for them to be ready?
As always, we can’t provide estimates due to numerous variables such as if other patrons have requested the same items, where the materials are in their quarantine phase and whether your branch already has the materials or if they have to be transferred from another branch. Please know we’re working as fast as we can to serve you and thank you for your patience.
When are customers going to be allowed to go back into the branches?
We’re not sure yet. We’re eager to resume as many of our services as possible, but we need to prepare our facilities first to make it safer for everyone when we open our doors again. Thank you for your patience!
How do I get a library card?
You can sign up online to get a temporary library card number that can be used right away. This card number is valid for one year and provides access to all of our online library resources. Apply for a library card online.
What is happening with library programs?
Programs are currently only being offered online. Check the online calendar for any upcoming events. Once branches reopen to the public, we will give an update on when we plan to resume in-person programs.
When will I be able to submit new meeting room reservation requests for the future?
We don’t have a set date for reopening bookings at this time.
